Our Story
Welcome to the Retired Senior Police Officers’ Association Malaysia (RESPA)
Under the steadfast leadership of our Management Committee, RESPA is committed to advocating for the welfare and dignity of retired commissioned officers. Established to bridge the transition from active duty to a rewarding retirement, we serve as the primary voice for Malaysia’s veteran police leadership.
Our mission is built on honor, ensuring that every officer’s contribution to national security is remembered and their legacy continues to inspire the next generation of law enforcement.
Our Legacy: From 1984 to Today
The story of RESPA began in 1984, registered under the Societies Act 1966. It was founded by a group of visionary retired officers who realized that while they had hung up their uniforms, their commitment to the nation and to each other remained eternal.
Over the decades, RESPA has evolved from a social circle into a structured non-governmental organization (NGO) representing senior officers across all 13 states of Malaysia. We operate from our headquarters in PULAPOL, Kuala Lumpur, keeping us physically and emotionally close to the heart of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).
Over four decades of dedicated service
Since our inception, RESPA has remained a cornerstone for retired senior police officers. We believe that retirement is not the end of service, but a new chapter of contribution to the welfare of our members and the security of Malaysia.
